Sam Stone is a rising solo artist in the Canadian music scene, celebrated for her powerhouse vocals, commanding stage presence, and soulful sound. A 2023 Ottawa Awards Jazz/Blues Musician of the Year nominee and 2025 Capital Music Awards Songwriter of the Year nominee, Sam brings over 20 years of experience in writing, performing, and collaborating across genres.

In 2025, Sam was invited to perform at both Ottawa Bluesfest and CityFolk, further cementing her reputation as a dynamic live performer capable of captivating audiences on some of Canada’s most iconic stages. Her voice is in high demand, both as a sought-after session vocalist and touring artist, performing with bands and captivating audiences across Canada, the US, and Europe, including Ireland, Sweden, Iceland, Germany, and the Netherlands.

She is also a touring member of Jessica Pearson and the East Wind, recipients of the 2025 Ontario Folk Music Awards Performing Artist of the Year, and continues to expand her solo audience with original, soulful releases, including Miss (2024), featuring Tony D from the Juno Award–winning band Monkey Junk.

Deeply committed to her community, Sam has contributed her time and talent to several initiatives, including Shepherds of Good Hope’s 2023 cover of “Lean on Me,” the Taste for Hope 2024 event as a committee member, and Tara Shannon’s Annual Holiday Benefit Concert, where she has been a featured performer for several years, to name a few.
